Since February 1, 2021, EU regulations have prohibited the sale of battery acid to end consumers. Acid is now only available from authorized repair shops.
However, the sale of pre-filled batteries, AGM/gel batteries, and lithium (LiFePO4) batteries to end customers remains permitted.
Information on battery disposal in accordance with EU Directive 2006/66/EC
In connection with the sale of batteries or the supply of devices containing batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following:
As an end user, you are legally obligated to return used batteries. You can return used batteries that we currently or previously offered as new batteries in our product range free of charge to our shipping warehouse (Lothringenstrasse 6/Top 20, A 4501 Neuhofen an der Krems).
The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meaning:
The crossed-out trash can symbol means that the battery must not be disposed of in household waste.
Pb = The battery contains more than 0.004% lead by mass.
Cd = The battery contains more than 0.002 percent cadmium by mass.
Hg = The battery contains more than 0.0005% mercury by mass.
Used batteries are only accepted at our shipping warehouse. We do not cover the costs of returning used batteries.

In connection with the sale of vehicle batteries, we are required to collect a deposit of €7.50 including VAT for each battery. You will receive this deposit back from JAY PARTS when you dispose of your used battery properly.
Disposal and deposit refund for your old car battery
Please note that vehicle batteries must be disposed of in an environmentally friendly and professional manner. When purchasing vehicle batteries directly from JAY PARTS, you have the option of disposing of your old vehicle battery at your local recycling center or a vehicle battery retailer. Due to hazardous materials regulations, returning old batteries via mail is not possible (products containing hazardous materials or that may be damaged cannot be shipped as standard packages).
The deposit fee will be refunded by JAY PARTS upon presentation of a corresponding return receipt. Therefore, please be sure to obtain confirmation of your old battery return from the collection point!
Please send us this proof as an attachment via email to office@jay-parts.com, including your order or invoice number, name and address, and bank details (IBAN). Upon receipt, we will refund the charged deposit of EUR 7.50, provided the disposed battery was purchased directly from JAY PARTS GmbH.
