Damaged and/or worn nylon blocks can impair the smooth operation of the variomatic/clutch.
CVT clutches have a tough job – high loads, dirt, high temperatures, low temperatures, and humidity.
Dr. Pulley's components are made of self-lubricating, high-performance composites, eliminating the need for additional lubricants such as oil or grease.
The advantages of Dr.Pulley components include longer service life due to lower friction and no additional lubrication required.
Dr.Pulley's self-lubricating material maintains a low coefficient of friction, even when operating in dry, humid environments and at high temperatures. Wear is very low, which means service life is significantly longer!
Many modified materials are available on the market to increase strength for CVT applications. The major disadvantage, however, is that aluminum components are subject to wear and tear, significantly reducing their service life.
The major advantage of Dr. Pulley is the ideal composition of the plastic, which does not attack the aluminum counterpart, as well as its remarkable frictional wear resistance compared to aluminum and steel. This protects the variomatic/clutch and the belt over the long term.
Dr. Pulley products are self-lubricating. This means less heat is generated due to lower friction, meaning no additional grease maintenance is required for reduced wear and longer service life.
