The wheel carrier made of cast steel for the front axle for Polaris Scrambler / Sportsman 850/1000 is a good bet from the racing scene. The original Polaris spare part is installed as standard on the rear axle. When used properly the original aluminum wheel carriers on the front axle often breaks and therefore the change to cast steel wheel carrier is a hot update.
In case of breaking of the standard aluminum wheel carrier it causes considerable damage to the brake system and to steering knuckles.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION
WHEEL HUB CARRIER STEEL POLARIS SCRAMBLER / SPORTSMAN 850/1000
The update tot he cast steel wheel carrier is a good investment fort he discerning driver.
Proceed as follows:
1. pick up your Polaris and secure it
2. dismantle the wheel
3. open the splint pin of the axle and remove it
4. open the crown nut and remove the brake caliper (2x 15mm SW screws)
Then remove the wheel carrier, knock out the wheel bolt with a rubber hammer and remove the brake disk. Reassemble in the reverse order with the new wheel carrier.
Lubricate the bearing points of the wheel carrier with grease before installation.
TORQUE:
Brake Caliper Screws 50 NM (according to Polaris Loctite 243 Mid-Fescue Blue)
Crown nut 108 NM (do not forget the sapwood)
Wheel nuts102 NM (according to Polaris), recommendation Jay Parts not more than 85 NM.
We recommend to check the wheel bolts, brake pads, wheel bearings, ball joints, tie rod ends before the conversion, as it is optimal to change at the same time.
